One of the primary learning focuses in Camp Binyan Torah is an emphasis on contemporary Jewish thought. Our educational staff encourages discussion regarding several important issues that teenaged Jewish boys do not often have the opportunity to talk about elsewhere. The following are a few of the topics that have been discussed in either one or several of the learning groups at various points during the past few summers. They are posted here along with sources so that campers or parents that are interested in these ideas can readily have access to some of the relevant material.
Please feel free to e-mail Rabbi Dovid Lessin with any questions, comments, or suggested additions.

This topic focuses on why Hashem created us and how we can be certain that even the details of our lives matter to Him. It addresses the matter of what we are
ultimately working for in our lives as well as the notion of having a relationship with Hashem, which includes speaking to Him through prayer and allowing
ourselves to hear the messages that He sends to us.
