Camp Binyan Torah takes place on the breathtaking campus of the Miller School. The Miller School sits on 1600 acres and is located at the foothills of
the Blue Ridge Mountains, only a short drive from Shenandoah National Park.
At the Miller School, Camp Binyan Torah makes use of several outstanding facilities, including baseball and softball fields, indoor basketball courts, two ultimate-frisbee, soccer, or football fields, and four tennis courts. The daily schedule also makes time for leisurely swimming at the outdoor swimming pool, and even the occasional swim or canoe trip down by the lake. The Miller School’s construction building is located at the very center of the campus, and is fully equipped with numerous tools and building appliances. Construction projects take place both inside the construction building and outside, on one of the several surrounding open, grassy areas. The dormitory is located on the bottom floor of the main and largest building on campus, referred to as “Old Main.” Being on the bottom floor ensures that campers’ dorm rooms always remain at a relatively cool temperature, even during the summer. The dormitory rooms sleep between 4 – 5 campers per room, and provide plenty of space for campers to store all of their belongings. Located on the first floor of Old Main is the dining facility, where all meals are served throughout the camp day. Camp Binyan Torah makes sure that a mashgiach is always present during food preparation times, and that all kashrut concerns are dealt with in accordance to normative halachic standards. On the second floor of the main building is where the Beit Midrash and learning rooms are located. CBT makes use of the Beit Midrash for davening, learning groups, and for the Friday night tisch. There is also a library on this floor, where campers may take out books during the month of camp. Located on the Miller School campus is a fully-stocked canteen facility, where campers can purchase snacks and drinks during the breaks. The canteen also serves as a good, cool place for campers and counselors to relax and simply enjoy each other’s company. There are lounge areas located in the dormitory for this purpose as well. Camp Binyan Torah at the Miller School provides an environment that is conducive for fun, relaxation, and an overall unforgettable summer experience! |
